Number of years with our band: 12 this time around, I played previously for camborne youth band for 3 years under Derek Greenwood, then went to Camborne Town Band for 6 Years
Favourite piece of music: Fraternity by Thierry Deleruyelle. An absolutely stunning piece of music that tells the true story of a French mining disaster that occurred in 1906. It is so well written and needs to be listened to having read the back story. Not exactly a light hearted toe-tapper and one for the more hardened brass band enthusiast.
